Newsletter 15th January 2016

Dear Parent/ Carer,
We have had another very busy and productive week which began with Assembly on Monday morning. It was a real privilege to give out the first set of achievement awards for 2016 for each class. We were also delighted to welcome Mr Thomas and Mr and Mrs Crichton from the British Legion to present us with the Crichton Trophy for raising the most money through the poppy appeal in November. This is the tenth successive year that we have won the award and this year we managed to raise nearly five hundred pounds. A big thankyou to all of you who contributed to this very deserving cause.

Our year 2 children have had their assessment week and we are thrilled at the pupils’ attitude and resilience in doing these. They have all worked so very hard.

I can’t quite believe that it is the end of my second week at Robin Hood Primary… time really is flying. I have had many children visit me to collect their Head Teacher award sticker and am gradually getting to know names and faces.

I have also had the pleasure of working in year 2 and phase 3/ 4 this week. More class visits are arranged for next week.

Please note that clubs have started and if pupils have missed this first week then please make sure you don’t forget to attend these next week!
Thank you again for your continued support and have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Harris
