Dear Parent/ Carer,

This week has seen our Festival of learning day, Sports Activity day and Science day; the children have absolutely loved all the different activities and visitors into school and thank you to all the staff for making this possible!

Our Nursery and Reception pupils have had their Graduations this week, the children looked fabulous and it was so lovely to see so many parents and for them to enjoy watching their sports day, Punch and Judy (kindly organised an funded by our brilliant PTA) and afternoon tea!

All models and paintings made by the Art club are now on display at Tropical World and will be throughout the summer…many thanks to Mrs Chin for taking these and arranging for this to happen and please try and visit if you have the opportunity.

Next week is our Sports Days at John Charles and we finish on Wednesday until Tuesday 6th September.

We say goodbye next Wednesday to Miss. Pyatt, Miss. Darroch and Mrs. Beckwith who leave us to embark on new ventures. We wish them all the very best for the future

Have a lovely weekend and a super summer holiday,
Mrs Harris

Dear Parent/ Carer,

We had a very productive INSET day on Monday planning and preparing for the coming year.

On Tuesday we had a visit from the Poet, Paul Cookson. He entertained us all and worked with many of our pupils before attending our June Wood award Assemblies in the afternoon. Well done to all those who were nominated and received certificates!

Please note that it is our transition day on Wednesday next week and letters regarding new class teachers will go out on Tuesday. There will be the opportunity for parents to sample dinners in the hall on Wednesday after school too…we look forward to seeing you there.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Harris

Dear Parent/ Carer,

Today we have said goodbye to many of our year 6 pupils. It has been a happy but emotional week in which we have watched them play their violins, had a wonderful prom and listened to their memories of school at the Leavers’ Assembly this afternoon. To those of you leaving us, we wish you all the very best for your future and hope that you will come back and visit us!

Next Monday is our INSET day and school is closed to pupils, Tuesday is our poetry day with the Poet Paul Cookson. We look forward to welcoming you in on Tuesday afternoon to award the June Wood trophy. Details will be sent out for each Key Stage.

At the end of this academic year we will be saying goodbye to several members of staff; Miss Pyatt is leaving us to go and teach in the Seychelles, Miss Darroch has secured another post at Victoria Primary and Mrs Beckwith is retiring.  We wish them all the very best for the future and hope that they will be happy in their new ventures.

Have a lovely weekend,
